Why eCorpIT

Why hire Android developers through eCorpIT.

Android is where global scale lives. India, Indonesia, Brazil, Nigeria, the Philippines — most of the world’s high-growth mobile audiences run Android. If your product needs to work on a Pixel 9 and a $120 Samsung A-series at the same time, you need senior Android engineers who know the platform’s range, not just the flagship slice.

Our senior rate is $44/hour, on a dedicated pod, with an MSA and DPA signed before code is written — and Manu Shukla reviews every engagement at architecture and milestone stages.

US seniors $70–$140/hr
UK seniors $55–$115/hr
eCorpIT $44/hr (senior)

A ~58% vs US at the same seniority saving at the same seniority, on a dedicated pod with an MSA and DPA signed before code is written. Industry rate benchmarks.

  • Modern Kotlin only

Coroutines and Flow over RxJava. Sealed classes, data classes, extension functions used properly. K2 compiler ready. KMP considered when it earns its keep.

  • Jetpack Compose by default

For green-field work. XML where you are extending a legacy codebase. We tell you honestly when each is the right call.

  • Material You and adaptive design

Dynamic colour, large screens, foldables (Galaxy Z, Pixel Fold), Wear OS where relevant. Adaptive layouts from Sprint 1, not after launch.

  • Play Store delivery mastery

Internal testing, closed and open tracks, staged rollouts, App Bundles, Play Integrity API, In-App Updates and Reviews. Submission is included in every engagement.

  • Performance across the device range

Memory and frame-rate profiled on at least three device tiers (flagship, mid, low). Macrobenchmark in CI where it earns the slot.

  • Senior-led delivery + founder review

Manu Shukla reviews every Android engagement at architecture and milestone stages. The engineer whose CV you interviewed is the engineer who ships.

Transparent pricing

Android rate card (USD, hourly).

All-in: no recruitment fee, no setup fee, no per-NDA charge. Weekly invoicing, net 14.

Tier Experience Rate (USD / hour)
Junior Android Engineer 1–2 years $22
Mid-level Android Engineer 3–5 years $32
Senior Android Engineer 6+ years $44
Lead / Android Architect 8+ years, multiple shipped apps $58

For a typical 6-month Android MVP at 160 hours/month with one senior engineer, that is $42,240 (eCorpIT senior at $44/hr) versus $100,800 at the US midpoint of $105/hr. Same seniority, same shipped app on Play Store.

How you work with us

Four engagement models.

You pick the one that fits how you actually want to work. We do not push everyone into the same shape.

Hourly

True Time & Materials

Weekly invoicing, minimum 40 hours per month, weekly demos. You pay only for the hours we log against your project board. Best for Play Store update cycles, single-feature work or maintenance on a legacy XML codebase.

Monthly

Dedicated developer · 10% off

160 hours per month, dedicated. 10% discount on the hourly rate. The engineer attends your standups, sits in your Slack, follows your sprint cadence. Pause with 30 days’ written notice. Best for active builds.

Quarterly

Pod · 480 hours · 15% off

3-month commit, 15% discount on hourly. Includes a shared designer (40 hours) familiar with Material You and a shared QA engineer (40 hours) at no additional cost. The pod model — a real team behind one engineer.

Project

Fixed scope · fixed price · fixed timeline

$8K MVP starting. We own scope, milestones and acceptance criteria. Weekly demos, weekly invoicing against milestones. Best when the spec is well-defined and you want predictability.

All four models include the NDA signed before any technical conversation, an MSA with India and EU/UK-aligned clauses, a DPA aligned with GDPR and India’s DPDP Act, weekly invoicing, and a single named delivery lead for the whole engagement.

The promise

The 14-day onboarding, day by day.

This is a calendar-day commitment, not a "best efforts" promise. If we miss any of these dates, the first month of the engagement is on the house.

  1. NDA signed

Within 4 hours of your first inbound message. Sign it; the technical conversation starts immediately.

  2. Discovery call

60 minutes. Manu Shukla joins. We map the problem, target users, your existing stack and constraints. Play Store strategy mapped alongside the problem and target users. You leave with a one-page strategy doc by end of day.

  3. Shortlist CVs

3 anonymised CVs of senior Android engineers matched to your project. Each profile includes 3 shipped Play Store apps with metrics and a 30-minute video introduction.

  4. Interviews

You interview 2–3 of the shortlisted engineers. We do not block on “first available.” You pick.

  5. Team selection & plan

Engineer (or pod) finalised, engagement model agreed, draft project plan with milestones shared.

  6. MSA + DPA signed

Master Services Agreement and Data Processing Addendum (GDPR + DPDP aligned) signed both sides.

  7. Environment setup

Repository, Slack/Teams, Jira/Linear, Play Console roles, signing keys (Play App Signing), internal testing track configured. Your engineer is shipping commits by end of Day 9.

  8. Kick-off

Founder-led kick-off call with Manu, the delivery lead, the assigned engineer(s) and your team. Sprint 0 deliverables aligned.

  9. Sprint 1 planning + technical design

Technical design document for the first deliverable. Sprint 1 backlog locked.

  10. Sprint 1 in build

Daily standups in your timezone. Slack-first communication.

  11. First demo

Working internal-testing-track build of the first user-facing feature. Retro. Sprint 2 plan agreed.

No surprises

Included in every Android engagement.

The line items that show up as “extras” with other vendors are baked into our rates.

  • Architecture review and technical design doc by a Lead before Sprint 1.
  • Code review by a second senior engineer on every pull request.
  • CI/CD pipeline setup (GitHub Actions, Bitrise, CircleCI or your existing pipeline).
  • Play Store submission — Play Console setup, internal testing, staged rollout, store listing copy and screenshots.
  • Crashlytics or Sentry integration plus weekly crash reports.
  • Macrobenchmark and baseline-profile setup where applicable.
  • Accessibility audit (TalkBack, large text, colour contrast) before submission.
  • Device-matrix testing on flagship, mid and low-end tiers.
  • Weekly demos and a written status note every Friday.
  • Founder review at architecture, mid-build and pre-release milestones.
  • ISO 27001:2022-aligned source-code handling and access controls.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

What US and UK teams ask before hiring Android developers with us.

Can I hire one Android developer, not a full pod?
Yes. Hourly and Monthly are single-engineer. Quarterly adds a shared designer and QA. You pick.
Do you sign NDAs before the technical call?
Yes, always. Within 4 hours of first contact.
Jetpack Compose or XML — which do you recommend in 2026?
Compose-first for green-field projects. XML where you are extending an existing codebase. Material You design tokens map cleanly onto either, but Compose is faster, more testable and where Google is putting its investment.
Do you support Wear OS, Android Auto and foldables?
Yes. Adaptive layouts are part of our standard Compose work. Wear OS and Android Auto are case-by-case scopes; we have shipped both in production.
Do you submit to the Play Store on my behalf?
Yes, as part of every engagement. You own the Play Console; we manage Play App Signing, internal testing tracks, staged rollouts and store listing.
What happens if Play Store rejects the app?
Play Store rejections are usually about policy (permissions, target API level, data safety section). We pre-flight against the policy before submission. Rejections get resolved within one review cycle.
Do you build for low-end devices and emerging markets?
Yes. A meaningful share of our work targets Tier 2/3 India, Indonesia and Africa. App size, cold-start time and offline-first sync are designed in from Sprint 1, not added later.
What if I do not like the first engineer you send?
The 14-day onboarding has 2–3 shortlist CVs and interviews built in. You pick. If after one sprint the fit is wrong, we replace at no cost.
What time zones do you cover?
Gurugram overlaps with London until 12:30 PM IST and with US East from 6:30 PM IST. Staffed deliberately.
How do you protect my IP?
NDA + MSA + DPA before code. Source repository under your account. ISO 27001:2022 access controls. Work-for-hire, fully assigned to you on payment.
