AEO + GEO + SEO: the complete process, done for you.

The 6-phase process eCorpIT runs to win answer-engine, generative-engine and search-engine citations in 2026 — phases, deliverables, team, tooling, KPIs and pricing. The done-for-you version of our complete guide.

  • 6 Phases
  • 12–16 Weeks core
  • 4–6 Senior, cross-practice
  • $10K–$60K Core + retainer
  • NDA before tech discussion
  • Full IP transfer
  • Weekly demos
  • Milestone-based payments
  • Live staging URL
  • SLA-backed refresh

The 2026 problem

Why most SEO engagements fail in 2026.

Three problems traditional SEO agencies are not built for. The stats below come from our complete guide, which carries the full reference list.

  1. AI Overviews quietly eat the click

Nearly half of Google queries now return an AI Overview. Sites cited inside one pull about 35% more organic clicks than the same site at the standard #1 result. The query that earned a click last year now earns a citation — and a rank-only agency never sees it move.

  2. The highest-intent traffic is unmeasured

ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity together handle an estimated 12–18% of English informational queries. Those users convert at 10–17% — roughly ten times Google organic. An agency that does not track AI citations leaves the best traffic in the market completely unmeasured.

  3. Four disciplines, one correct sequence

Technical, snippet, citation and entity work are now four different disciplines that must be sequenced correctly. A keyword shop rebuilds title tags, a content shop adds a blog, a PR shop chases links. None of them, working alone, moves AI Overview inclusion or ChatGPT citation share.

So we built one integrated engagement. Under CMMI Level 5 delivery governance, ISO/IEC 27001:2022 audited security and ISO 9001:2015 quality processes, the same senior team owns technical SEO, AEO snippet structure, GEO citation work and AIO entity strengthening — in the right order, in 12 to 16 weeks, with quarterly refresh built in.

One integrated engagement

How every engagement operates.

The same eight commitments from our homepage — applied here to AEO + GEO + SEO work.

  • One partner. Integrated expertise.

SEO foundation, AEO snippet structure, GEO citation engineering, AIO entity work, and the engineering behind all four — schema, Core Web Vitals, SSR, llms.txt, robots.txt. One engagement, five disciplines, no vendor stitching.

  • Complete engagements, not placements.

You hire eCorpIT to move AI Overview inclusion, citation share and brand visibility. We do not rent SEO contractors. We take responsibility for outcomes against a measured baseline.

  • NDA before any technical conversation.

Mutual NDA before we look at your CMS, traffic data, competitor map or content backlog. Your strategy is protected from the first email.

  • 100% IP, code and data transfer.

Schema templates, citation dashboards, refresh playbooks, audit scripts and prompt sets — committed to your repository, hosted in your cloud, owned by you on day one.

  • Sprint-based delivery, weekly demos.

Two-week sprints. Working artefacts every sprint. Live staging URL. Real progress, every week — not quarterly status decks.

  • Milestone-based payments.

Discovery, technical foundation, AEO, GEO, AIO, and measurement dashboard milestones. You pay as we deliver.

  • Team continuity built into the model.

Practice-area leads across SEO, Performance Marketing, AI and Web Engineering own the work, with senior backups for every key role. The engagement keeps moving even when individuals do not.

  • Audited security. Certified processes.

    CMMI Level 5 · ISO 9001:2015 · ISO/IEC 27001:2022 · ISO/IEC 20000-1:2018 · ISO 45001:2018 · GDPR · DPIIT · D-U-N-S #854367803. For enterprise procurement and regulated industries, it matters.

The framework

Six phases. 12–16 weeks core, then compounding.

Phases 1–5 run in 12 to 16 weeks. Phase 6 is ongoing — a monthly retainer with quarterly refresh sprints.

  1. Discovery & Audit

Baseline everything before we touch a page.

    Weeks 1–2

A free 30-minute call, then a paid discovery sprint. Within five working days you receive a one-page strategy doc, an indicative cost and a realistic timeline — at no commitment.

    What we do

    • Technical SEO audit — Core Web Vitals, crawlability, indexability, SSR, mobile, schema
    • Content inventory of your top 50–100 pages by traffic, conversion and topical importance
    • AEO readiness audit — snippet structure, FAQ schema, answer-first openings, list/table formats
    • GEO baseline — ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini citation tracking + competitor citation maps
    • AIO entity audit — knowledge panel, Wikidata, Wikipedia, sameAs schema, NAP consistency
    • AI Overview share-of-voice analysis for your target queries; llms.txt + robots.txt review

    Deliverables

    • One-page strategy doc — the integrated AEO + GEO + SEO + AIO roadmap
    • Technical SEO audit with severity-tagged issues
    • Top-50 snippet-readiness scorecard
    • Citation baseline dashboard for 25–50 branded & category queries
    • Entity-strength scorecard + 90-day execution plan

Engagement Discovery & Prototype Sprint · 2–4 weeks · 2–3 senior · flat fixed fee

  2. Technical Foundation

No AEO, GEO or AIO work compounds on a broken foundation.

    Weeks 3–4

Whatever optimisation acronym you favour, the technical layer is the same — and it goes first.

    What we do

    • Fix Core Web Vitals issues blocking AI Overview eligibility
    • Confirm server-side rendering / proper hydration on every page that needs to be cited
    • robots.txt with explicit AI-crawler decisions — GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended, CCBot
    • Publish a clean llms.txt at the site root listing the resources you want LLMs to read
    • Switch Microdata / RDFa to JSON-LD; implement Article, FAQPage, HowTo, Product, Organization, Person, Breadcrumb
    • Validate schema matches visible content (mismatches are now actively penalised)

    Deliverables

    • Core Web Vitals green across the top 50 pages
    • AI-crawler policy committed to robots.txt
    • llms.txt published and version-controlled
    • JSON-LD across all template types, validated in Rich Results Test
    • Internal-link map + technical foundation sign-off

Engagement Fixed-Scope Project — or Dedicated Pod if technical debt is heavy

  3. AEO Sprint

The part that pays back fastest — snippet wins inside 60 days.

    Weeks 5–8

Most clients see featured snippet wins inside 60 days when the underlying SEO is healthy. AI Overview inclusions land in the same window.

    What we do

    • Rebuild snippet structure on your top 50 informational pages
    • Add a self-contained answer-first opening (40–60 words) under every H2 and H3
    • Convert prose into the unit AI engines reward: 134–167-word, self-contained passages
    • Add a supporting table, list or named statistic within the first 200 words of every section
    • Nested FAQPage + Article schema mirroring visible content
    • Voice-search rewrite — 7th-grade reading level, full-sentence answers, one internal link per section

    Deliverables

    • 50 pages rebuilt for AEO with verified snippet structure
    • FAQPage + Article schema validated and live
    • AEO scorecard tracking featured snippet wins per page
    • AI Overview inclusion baseline established for measurement

Engagement Fixed-Scope Project · senior pod — SEO lead, content engineer, schema engineer, writer

  4. GEO Sprint

The peer-reviewed moves that actually move citations.

    Weeks 9–12

GEO is newer and noisier. The Princeton GEO paper points to a small number of moves that actually produce gains. We run those.

    What we do

    • Add specific statistics with named sources in body text (Princeton measured a 41% citation-visibility lift from this single tactic)
    • Cite credible third parties — government data, academic studies, named industry reports — not your own product pages
    • Quote named experts with title and source; direct quotes outperform paraphrased claims
    • Build entity strength on independent sites — trade press, partner blogs, podcasts, conference talks with transcripts
    • Match the platform — Wikipedia for ChatGPT (47.9% of top citations), genuine Reddit contribution for Perplexity (46.7%)
    • Engineer two distinct citation strategies — only 11% of domains are cited by both ChatGPT and Perplexity

    Deliverables

    • Every pillar page upgraded with verifiable third-party statistics + named expert quotes
    • Independent-mention plan with 3–6 quarterly placements
    • Wikipedia-readiness assessment with realistic notability guidance
    • Citation tracking dashboard populated with the Phase 1 query baselines
    • GEO sprint sign-off with measured deltas against baseline

Engagement Fixed-Scope Project · GEO lead, research analyst, outreach specialist, dashboard engineer

  5. AIO Sprint

The slowest discipline — and the one that compounds the most.

    Weeks 13–16+

Brand and entity work that makes your company recognisable, trustworthy and well-described inside AI systems.

    What we do

    • Claim and clean your Google knowledge panel — description, founders, founding date, HQ, services
    • Create or correct your Wikidata entry with verified properties and sameAs links
    • Assess Wikipedia notability honestly; pursue an entry only when independent reliable-source coverage exists
    • Standardise company description, NAP, founding year and positioning across every directory and profile
    • Full Organization + Person + Service schema with sameAs to LinkedIn, Crunchbase, GitHub, X, Wikipedia
    • Publish original research, data or frameworks with named labels — named ideas attach to the brand that named them

    Deliverables

    • Knowledge panel entry cleaned and submission-tracked
    • Wikidata entry created or corrected (verified properties)
    • NAP + one-line description standard applied across 20+ properties
    • Organization + Person + Service schema deployed with sameAs links
    • One published original framework or dataset + monthly prompt-set tracking

Engagement Long-Term Product Partnership or Managed Services · monthly retainer

  6. Measurement, Refresh, Compound

Pages not refreshed quarterly are ~3× more likely to lose citations.

    Ongoing

The cheapest big-impact tactic available. We do not stop at launch — we engineer the compounding.

    What we do

    • Re-run the citation tracking dashboard against the Phase 1 baseline every month
    • Identify pages where AI Overview inclusion dropped or competitor citations rose
    • Refresh those pages — one new stat, one new example, one updated FAQ — usually enough to keep the citation
    • Re-run the prompt set; flag changes in how AI engines describe the brand
    • Add new pillar pages where new query opportunities emerge
    • Re-audit the technical foundation quarterly — CWV drift, schema mismatches, llms.txt updates

    Deliverables

    • Monthly citation dashboard refresh + 5–10 pages refreshed
    • Monthly performance report — snippet share, AI Overview inclusion, citation counts, prompt-set deltas
    • Conversion from AI-referred traffic, tracked separately
    • Quarterly business review with a senior architect

Reported monthly

The six-metric scorecard.

Rankings alone are blind to half of 2026 search. Every metric ships against a Phase 1 baseline — delta against baseline and against last month. No vanity, no invented percentages.

  • Featured snippet share of voice

    For your tracked target queries.

  • AI Overview inclusion rate

Measured against a 100-query basket, refreshed monthly.

  • Direct citation count

In ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini — branded and unbranded.

  • Brand mention velocity

Across independent media — a proxy for entity strength.

  • Conversion from AI-referred traffic

Tracked separately from organic with UTM tagging where identifiable.

  • Knowledge panel + Wikidata health

Completeness and entry accuracy over time.

+ 07 A seventh metric for clients who want it: brand-description drift — how the major AI engines describe your brand month over month, stored as a versioned prompt-response log.

What we don't do

The fastest way to read an agency is what it refuses to do.

  • Per-hour SEO contractors

Staff augmentation is not on our list. Every engagement is an outcome we take responsibility for.

  • Keyword stuffing in headings

AI Overviews reward clarity over keyword density. "Best CRM software India 2026" reads like a query and gets demoted.

  • Spamming Reddit

Reddit bans brands fast. We send a real person from your team and contribute for weeks before linking anything you own.

  • Writing your own Wikipedia entry

Notability requires independent third-party coverage. Self-promotional drafts get rejected and damage your standing with editors.

  • Fake FAQ schema

Schema accuracy is actively checked. AI engines compare structured data against visible content; mismatches get ignored or penalised.

  • Vanity reporting

No "500+ keywords ranking" without share of voice, AI Overview inclusion and citation counts. The metrics that matter are the metrics we report.

  • One-and-done engagements

Pages not refreshed quarterly are ~3× more likely to lose AI citations. We engineer the compounding from sprint one.

  • Publishing unreviewed AI content

Google’s 2026 updates demote scaled, unedited AI text. Every page we ship is reviewed by a subject expert and edited for first-person experience signals — AI assists, humans own the quality bar.

Why us

Not a content shop. Not a link shop. An engineering organisation.

We run SEO as one of ten practice areas. That changes what we can deliver.

  • The same team ships the technical foundation

SSR fixes, schema deployment, llms.txt, Core Web Vitals work. You are not handed a checklist and told to find a developer.

  • The same team builds the custom tooling

Our citation dashboard, prompt-set runners and 134-word passage harness. We did not buy these. We built them.

  • The same team integrates AI into production

RAG-evaluated content briefs, prompt-governed editorial review, AI-assisted drafting that meets Google’s quality bar.

  • A compliance posture for enterprise procurement

CMMI Level 5 delivery, ISO/IEC 27001:2022 audited security, GDPR, DPIIT. Most SEO agencies cannot pass an enterprise security review. We can.

  • Eight operating commitments on every engagement

NDA before tech, full IP transfer, weekly demos, milestone payments, team continuity, audited security — including this one.

  • We work with the stack you already have

WordPress, HubSpot, Webflow, Contentful, Sanity, Strapi or bespoke headless — we ship AEO + GEO + SEO against your CMS, and flag in Phase 1 if a platform limit is blocking AI Overview inclusion.

Based in Gurugram, India, with real-time overlap for clients across India, the US, the UK, the UAE, Australia, Canada and the EU. Engagement starts with a free 30-minute call and a one-page strategy doc within 5 working days. NDA before any technical conversation.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

The ten things teams ask before running the AEO + GEO + SEO programme with us.

How long does the AEO + GEO + SEO process take to show results?
Featured snippet and AI Overview wins typically appear within 60 days when the SEO foundation is healthy. ChatGPT and Perplexity citation lift takes 90 to 180 days because those engines re-index on their own schedule. Entity-level AIO compounds over 6 to 12 months. We report against baseline from month one.
Can we start with just AEO or just GEO?
Technically yes, structurally no. The technical foundation (Phase 2) is shared. AEO without the schema layer and Core Web Vitals work is brittle. GEO without entity strength does not compound. We can sequence which sprint runs first, but every engagement includes Phases 1, 2 and 6.
Will the work survive a Google core update?
The 2026 core updates reward clarity, structure, first-person experience and named authors. Our process produces exactly those signals — answer-first passages, schema that matches visible content, named expert quotes, verifiable credentials, original frameworks. Pages built this way tend to gain, not lose, in core updates.
Do you guarantee a position on Google or in ChatGPT?
No. Anyone who guarantees a position is lying. We guarantee the delivery — the sprints will ship, the dashboards will populate, the citations will be tracked, the refresh cycle will run. The platforms decide the position. The process consistently produces measurable lift.
Do we own the dashboards, scripts and frameworks you build?
Yes. 100% IP, code and data transfer. Every dashboard, audit script, prompt-set runner, schema template and refresh playbook is committed to your repository on day one. If we ever part ways, the operating layer travels with you.
How is this different from hiring a freelance SEO?
A senior freelancer can do parts of Phase 2 or Phase 3 well. They cannot run the integrated programme — technical engineering, schema deployment, citation dashboarding, AIO entity work and quarterly refresh — at the same time, against an enterprise security and quality posture. We do.
How does this work with our existing CMS — WordPress, HubSpot, Webflow, Sanity?
We work with the CMS you have. Our team has shipped AEO + GEO + SEO work against WordPress, HubSpot, Webflow, Contentful, Sanity, Strapi and bespoke headless setups. If a CMS limitation is blocking AI Overview inclusion, we flag it in Phase 1 with a clear migration option.
Do you handle the writing, or do we still write?
Both options. We can write — every piece is co-reviewed by a subject expert and edited by a senior content engineer for AEO snippet structure and GEO citation patterns. Or we can train your in-house writers on the 134-word passage harness and the prompt-set workflow, so the compounding becomes yours.
How is data security and confidentiality handled?
Mutual NDA before any technical conversation. All work hosted in your cloud, all code in your repository, all credentials revoked at hand-over. Our information security management is independently audited under ISO/IEC 27001:2022. For enterprise procurement, we provide our D-U-N-S #854367803 and the full credential set on request.
What if we already have an SEO agency?
We work alongside an incumbent when the engagement is scoped that way — typically we own the AI search layer (AEO + GEO + AIO) while your incumbent continues classic SEO. We document the handoffs explicitly. If the work overlaps, we recommend a 30-day parallel pilot before transitioning.
