Coaching institutes and academies — test prep, tuition, skill and sports academies — sell a seat in a batch. The app’s job is to run the institute: admissions, timetables, live and recorded classes, tests with rank and analysis, attendance, fee instalments, and a parent who wants to see all of it. The buyer is the institute’s owner; the users are students, teachers, parents and the front desk.
Coach-led businesses — fitness and wellness coaches, sports coaches, life, business and executive coaches — sell a relationship. The app’s job is to carry it between sessions: booking and reminders, 1:1 video, a programme or plan, habit and progress tracking, messaging, and a subscription that renews. The buyer is the coach or the studio; the users are clients and the coaching team.
Either one can be bought three ways. A white-label platform — Classplus, Teachmint or Graphy for institutes; Kajabi, Passion.io or Mighty Networks for coaches — rents you a configured app in days. A custom build gives you your own product, brand, data and payment relationships. A hybrid starts on the platform and moves the parts that matter in-house. Most teams ask for custom by default; for many, the honest first step is the platform.
