Azure retired RIs for 18 VM series on July 1, 2026: the migration math
On July 1, 2026 Azure stopped new purchases and renewals of Reserved VM Instances for 18 VM series, including Dv3, Ev3, Av2 and Fsv2. Existing RIs still run to term. Two options remain, the renewal escape hatch is gone
